Mandatory Landlord Safety Check

Landlords are required now by law to conduct safety checks of electrical appliances, fixtures and installations at least every 2 years to keep occupants safe from the danger associated with electrical faults and ensure landlords and property managers are fulfilling their obligations.
From March 2021, changes to the Residential Tenancies Act in Victoria make these checks mandatory. Our electrical check will be conducted by one of our high qualified licensed electricians.
On completion of the safety check, the landlord will receive a detailed report showing all of the switchboard, appliances and fixtures that were tested and the result of the test.
Along with the report the landlord will also then receive a certficate of compliance stating the property is compliant; if there are further works to be undertaken to make the property compliant, a quote will be provided to the landlord.
